API includes full Canadian address validation, correction and standardization. It
will search the Canadian Post’s address database to provide up-to-date and accurate
address information. Prepare addresses for optimum delivery suggested by the Canada
Post by receiving an output properly parsed in upper case fonts and the zip code
format separated after the first three characters.
Canadian Postal Box Addresses and Rural Route Addresses can also be verified using
PAV.

CANADA POST GUIDELINES TO AVOID MAIL DELAYS
Canada Post recommends the following address guidelines to avoid delays in the delivery
of mail:
- Address should be printed in upper case, but lower case fonts are acceptable
- Characters in the address block should not be underlined
- The municipality, the province or territory, and the Postal Code should all appear
on the same line
- Punctuation should not be used unless it is part of a proper name
- Postal code guidelines
- Printed in uppercase
- One space between the first three characters and the last three characters
- No hyphen in between the post code
